Today (23.2.2026) we got the information that the clearing will start tomorrow early morning Tuesday 24.02.2026. Preparations for the clearing are being made! The time to come to the Wild Forest to save it is NOW!
The NABU is informed and will file an emergency appeal against the forest clearance, but we have prevent any cuttings before it goes into affect!
Come to the forest before 7am tomorrow (at the corner of Honartsdeicher Weg/Schlenzigstraße), we will be there and are in need of your help.
During this clearing season, 800 m² of the Wild Forest on Schlenzigstraße could be destroyed, this can happen until 28.02.2026. Since clearing work usually starts with the sunrise, we should be in the forest at least an hour before sunrise!

Walk along the forest and Schlenzigstraße and let us know if you observe any preparations, e.g.:
- Workers in the forest
- Tree care or clearing companies in the vicinity
- (New) markings on the footpath or in the forest
- “No parking” signs on Schlenzigstraße
- Space is being cleared out in the BM-Bau yard
- Barriers with warning tape or construction fencing
The endangered area is close to the cycle path to Veddel. Take a quick look on your way, especially early in the morning! Let us know if you notice anything!
