We call ourselves WiWa Aktivisti. Together with the cititzens’ initiative “Waldretter*innen” we are the alliance WiWa Bleibt! and we are open for other groups that want to fight for the Wild Forest.

We organise different inputs to raise awareness for the Wild Forest, inform about the “Spreehafenviertel” and the failed city planning and to connect within the leftist scene in Hamburg. For the past three years we have organised a protest camp every October in the Forest. 2023 we built the treehouse. We practise climbing and building structures in trees, we collect materials, backgroundknowledge, skills and strategies to defend the Wild Forest. We enjoy sharing our knowledge with allies to enable them to defend the Wild Forest through civil disobidience and direct action.

The Waldretter*innen regularly organise forest walks, put pressure on politicians, prepare arguments against the development plan to use when the public display of plans takes place and collect donations for a lawyer. More information on their website: www.waldretter.de
