Vigil 2025

General Information

All events start at the clearing in the Wild Forest. Directions with a map can be found here. All events are in German unless specified otherwise (marked in yellow for easier navigation). Whisper translations into English can be requested for all events. You can do this spontaneously on site or in advance via Telegram or email (wilderwald@riseup.net). We will then do our best to organise someone.

If you already know how to climb and want to practise or learn something new, feel free to message us or just drop by.

The program

Explanations of the types of events
  • Briefing: We talk about upcoming actions or how to support them, questions can be asked and your own ideas can be contributed. Usually everyone sits at a table or in a circle together+.
  • Discussion round: We sit together at a table or in a circle and talk about the given topic, everyone is invited to share their own ideas and experiences.
  • Talk: One or more people speak to the audience, who can ask questions at the end. The audience sits, while the speakers usually stand.
  • (Climbing) skillshare: Trainers explain the basics to the trainees, then everyone tries out what they have learned. Skillshares usually take place standing up, but it is possible to sit down for the theoretical part at the beginning.
  • Plenary: We sit together in a circle or at a tabel and discuss topics that have been collected at the beginning or selected in advance. Usually, one person acts as moderator, ensuring that not everyone talks at once, that everyone has a chance to speak, and that we stay on topic.
  • Forest walk: A guided tour through the forest, stopping at different places where the guide talks about the forest or a specific topic. We walk and stop for varying lengths of time, and it is possible to bring a camping chair and sit down briefly at the stations. Read the description of the forest here or contact us to find out about the condition of the paths.
